Hei, I am Dara.

I’m a versatile designer who’s dipped my toes into a bit of everything — designing products for mass consumers, businesses, and also internal employees; conducting user research, drafting UX foundations, polishing UI details with scalable design systems, even doing a bit of service design.

I’m a little more drawn to B2B and internal products. I love untangling complex problems, handling big data, and turning all that chaos into simple, clever solutions that make life easier for business users.

Ngoc is probably amongst the best designer i have worked with - who can work on an ambiguous problem - to do independent problem research so the problem itself is more clear and then building a great UX / UI for the solution.

I have worked with many designers in my career - but Ngoc really stands out for me - and the reasons why I believe so:

Extremely high level of Ownership - on all assigned tasks - Ngoc has always displayed a great sense of ownership in whatever she does. Even under tight timelines - I have seen her putting extra effort and ensuring that the project keeps moving ahead as per plan. She usually does her own independent thinking and then comes back to us with extremely detail oriented work - usually with more insights than you would expect.

Deep and Independent Thinking - I have found her to almost always put a deep thought into whatever she builds irrespective of the size of the feature. My belief is that this is usually only possible if someone is both smart and hardworking and does not shy away from getting their hands dirty at going into details - even though that may mean doing a lot of manual work - like talking to multiple users - questioning back to the Product members or asking for some more data. There have been multiple occasions where some edge case / important cases could have been missed by the PM in-charge - but Ngoc made it a point to think them well and address them in form of her questions - while covering them and also bringing a lot of new insights onto the table. Usually its easier for the designer to follow what the product member puts in the document and avoid the effort to think independently - but Ngoc is not like that - which i believe makes her one of the strong contributors to every feature that we build.

Empathy - There have been multiple meetings where i have seen her deal with other people - with the tech team / product team / business members and other design members - and i usually found her to have the rare value of empathy towards users / stakeholders and I usually find her to be able to build good trust with her colleagues / superiors / sub-ordinates while handling tough conversations also - where there is a strong disagreement b/w what she believes in vs what the other person may believe in. Ngoc in nut-shell is a great team players and everyone likes to work with her.

To put things simply - if i have to hire a great designer who can work independently - especially - if i am dealing with a highly ambiguous problem - Ngoc will be my go to person.

Senior product designer at be

I have a short time working with her. She is very sympathetic with her teammates & and has a high responsibility in the project which she is in charge.

Her critical thinking and analytical abilities are amazing, she always knows how to "build the right thing" instead of "build the thing right". She always knows the real problems of users with her research skills. It's an important skill that every UX designer should have.

It is no exaggeration to say that if you are looking for a teammate, a consultant, or a friend. She will be your answer.
